Personal Background


I started in the tourism industry in the year 2001 as a customer service representative. My duties included welcoming guests from the arrivals hall at the airport as well as compiling itineraries, arranging day tours and activities.

This temporary position ignited the passion for my country, the cultural diversity and its beauty.

I embarked on becoming a registered tourist guide at the end of 2002 and since then had the opportunity to work as a freelance guide for reputable companies in the industry over a 10-year period. I then founded Afta Africa as I felt the need to co-design exclusive packages with my guest. Needless to say, I have not looked back since.

Afta Africa Tours was established in 2008. The journey started as an owner managed company with a core focus on responsible and cost-effective tourism for the discerning traveller.

My love for travel allowed me to understand the need for exclusive and memorable travel experiences, and this has been a positive attribution to the company.
